This 58-year-old highly accomplished actor surprises us all. No doubt, Tom Cruise is a heavyweight in Hollywood who keeps producing and delivering. While the premiere of Top Gun: Maverick fast approaching and Tom, shooting in Venice, for the upcoming Mission: Impossible 7 (MI7), why not take a look at this amazing actor and see how he stays in such good shape despite a busy career and a family life. The following are the four basic things that we believe contribute to his great look:
1. Exemplary Self Discipline
Ne one does it better when it comes to self-discipline. Tom is extremely careful about what he eats and drinks. He’s also an astute student of Wes Okerson, his trainer. In fact, Men’s Health Magazine reached out to Okerson for comments on Tom‘s exercise regimen and Oskerson confirms it.

When free, he spends 3 1/2 to 4 hours a day on physical training alone. It involves a combination of Cardio, Strength, Yoga, and Pilates. Yes, Pilates. People often think it’s for women but no better routine exists to give your body an amazing shape. You could actually see it in action by Tom himself in different scenes in the Mission: Impossible series.
2. The Mental Fortitude
Over the years, Tom‘s developed an uncanny mental fortitude. We didn’t know it before as we do now, mental health plays a huge role in the overall well-being. A relaxed and happy mind will reflect immensely in the physical body.
We all know of his humility. He spends hours standing and signing autographs for his fans with a smile in his face. So where does he get that?

Now we know where that self-confidence and relaxed state of mind comes from. While we’ve seen other stars lash out at their fans, Tom Cruise, never once, has done that. According to him:

It makes sense, doesn’t it? It definitely takes a lot of pressure off the chest and helps him stay cheerful in every situation. If you’ve got nothing to hide, you’ve got nothing to worry about. His marriages, divorces, and children have been under strict scrutiny by the media, and yet, we always saw him with a smile on his face.
And by the way, we can never hate you.
3. The Apple
He loves it. A Tom Cruise movie wouldn’t be a movie without a scene of him eating an apple. This could be one of the factors for his young-looking body and skin. Whether he’s on set shooting or off at home. He eats 4 apples minimum per day. It is a huge part of his daily diet. The health benefits of apple are so huge that scientists are still figuring out what it does to the body. 4. The Supplements
If you can work out on a regular basis, you are probably okay with natural healthy food and have no need for additional supplements. Yet, the life of a star is different. At times, you are at home, and at times you are away for a long time- shoots, tours, PR campaigns. Things just keep coming. Worst of all, a shoot can happen in the morning, in the evening, or late at night. This seriously hampers a regular exercise regimen if you have any. That’s why all celebrities tend to take a few supplements to compensate for the loss- at least during shooting days. For Tom, there are two:
